Since worldly pleasures take me away from you,
And worldly joys curtain me from your love,
O Lord, will you take away all these worldly wealth and pleasures from me,
And fill me with intolerable sufferings and unbearable agonies,
O Love, will you take away all these worldly desires and urges from me,
And fill me with unendurable pains and unhealable wounds,
That may I suffer in such a way that I will yearn only you in my life,
That may I endure in such a grief that I will long only you in my life.
