Poems

The wind blew,
And then the storm,
The cyclone came,
And then the hurricane,
But I stood still.

The sun blazed,
And then the night freezed,
The rain fell,
And then the hail,
But I stood still.

The decade passed,
And then the century,
The era changed,
And then the aeon,
But I stood still.

Your love gave me,
The patience, the tolerance,
The courage, and the strength.

Your love taught me,
The wisdom, the tenderness,
The compassion, and the acceptance.

To stand still,
As a mountain,
Shooting up to kiss,
The moon.
~Sw. Chidananda Tirtha
